    another update on me.....

Well, since my last post things have changed......the heart doctors all got together and decided that I needed to have the stents placed before doing the valve replacement so on January 24 I was admitted to the hospital to have the stents placed in....things were worse than expected and on one side they had to place two stents and on the other side they needed to use the drill to clear the blockage in order to place then stent.....the cardiologist also used a balloon to try to open the valve a little bit....the valve opening should be the size of a garden hose...at that time mine was only open the size of a needle! She managed to open it up to the size of a pencil...the first few days I was feeling ok but it seems the valve is closing up again and I am having breathing issues as well as chest pains again...all to be expected until the valve gets replaced which is now scheduled to be done on February 27...until then I am not allowed to drive as I am a risk of possibly passing out behind the wheel of the car so my life at the moment is confined to my apartment.....anyway I hope everyone is doing well....miss everyone, try to read when I can but watch out cause I will soon be back!!!!

IF you have to have some type of surgery, winter is the best time to have it done. Then you have time to recover without feeling too much pressure to get out too early. Sure hoping that springtime finds you recovered and eager to get out and go get em.
