    Classic III SL pinpoint.. Help!!

    Hi, in my detector when press the pinpoint button i hear a loud and continuos sound. Can you help me? Thank you. Robby.

    Do you have the unit ground balanced ?? When you enter PP mode you STOP SAT and Tracking .... You should hear SOME background "noise". Thats your ALL Metal channel. Check your User's Guide for proper setup. If that doesn't help, let us know.

    A few days ago I tampered potentiometers inside the box. Then I reported all the original state, but does not work the pinpoint.

    Not knowing what you did, and not having the unit to look at makes it just about impossible to offer more help, other than to suggest you check the PP switch and its connections to the board. Also, keep in mind that MOTION is REQUIRED, even in the PP mode to detect the target.

    Probably some component must be damaged after rotating vr1 and vr4. Formerly it worked normally. What is the component that manages the pinpoint? Thank you.
