Be aware when ordering the GM 24K...

If you get the model with both coils, Whites does not have the cover for the 6" flat-bottomed concentric. if you order the coil covers with your machine, the cover they send for the 6" will be the cover for the thick bulged-bottom coil. That cover will hold your coil almost 3/4" off the ground when using...not the best idea. You should wait until they have the right cover, or fabricate a piece of plastic to glue on the bottom to get by until the correct cover is available.

You have to buy the coil cover separately? Seems like Whites could include it...

The coil it self is built well enough that it doesn't need a cover to hunt in grass and weeds. The cover is just extra protection if you worry about hitting a lot of rocks and drag it on hard ground often. It's good to protect your investment.

Welcome to the forum Dubious .... You don't "need" the cover. As Rod noted- its to protect your investment.

Just curious..... Do the shoe stores in California give free boots to cover your new alligator skin loafers ??
