    NICE day

55 degrees, cloudy most of the time, but nice. Got in 5 hours and my legs are shot after about 100 digs.

51 zinks, 2 quarters, 2 nickels, 9 dimes, 5 tokens, one alien and the hand of God? thing. Many nails pull tabs.

Now to hit the recliner for a nap.

I pulled 3 or 4 dimes around 6 or 7 inches. All were orange color. I just ran some through the polisher yesterday and they don't clean up. Is the silver plate gone??

You're very patient to dig 51 zincs and only two quarters. Good for you for getting out. Won't be happening here for quite a while. High today was 10. LTD

Glad to hear you got out to do some hunting. As for your orange dimes, that can be due to the high iron mineralization in the ground. Clad tends to lose its silver like finish the longer it’s buried.

A modern US dime is .750 copper and .250 nickel bonded to an inner core of pure copper

Pretty close to 60. My body is still feeling the 100+ digs from yesterday. I'm out of shape!

    Good luck on you dig!!

Anyone can dig a plug, I prefer a plug full of goodies.
