    Older GMT E Series

Does anyone know if Whites can upgrade an older model GMT?

In means of taking your detector and upgrading it to a better machine... as far as I know, no.

I will send your question directly to Whites. Personally, I know of no "upgrades" ....
If there's anything I hate worse than diggin' pulltabs, its missin' a gold ring.

Ok, thanks for the reply. Maybe I'll spring for a new one.

Highspade, as far as the GMT is concerned, all machines are the same, there are no different versions. It remains the premiere VLF gold finder.

Jim, thanks for that info. I didn't know if the newer version of the GMT had improvements over the older one that I have.

Yes, thanks Howard. I think it is going to be a long boring winter before I can go out nugget-shooting again (at least here in Wyoming). I'm just looking for an excuse to buy one of those White's multi-frequency machines so I'll have that to keep me busy learning until spring.

You can’t go wrong with the V3i.

Haven’t you heard..., "Don’t count your chickens before they hatch." Well... I know something will eventually come out but the V3i is going to be tough to beat. The menu system on the V just gives it so much control. I believe that’s why it hasn’t been replaced with a new machine. I say, don’t worry about waiting for a new machine when you have a super one already within grasp.
