    Coil detection pattern

Fox, what is the difference between the detection pattern of the 6x10 and the 10" DD. Both are DD's so why a round one?

The 6x10”DD provides a little more separation than the 10”DD. The 10”DD has a little more depth too.

The patterns are "essentially" the same. EG: Both a "paintbrush". The elliptical coil will have a bit less weight and a bit more narrow pattern than the round DD, thus providing a little better separation, at the expense of a tad bit of depth.

Also, the elliptical coil will be a bit less susceptible to EMI, owing to its smaller size.
If there's anything I hate worse than diggin' pulltabs, its missin' a gold ring.
