    Metal Detector Storage

    Hello everyone.

When I come home from being out detecting I normally prop my metal detectors up in a corner until I am ready to go out again.

Lately, I've been thinking about creating a hook on the wall to hang each detector up. Similar to a coat rack, I was going to use each hook by putting the coil over the hook and hanging the metal detector against the wall. Has anyone had any problems hanging up a metal detector in this manor? Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

Hanging from the coil is a practice many detectorist use to store their machines. I've never heard of it causing any problems.

I to was worried about long term storage hanging by the coil. If it warped the coil in any way it could cause problems.

Therefore I've been toying with hooks that hang the detector by the control box but that may be overkill.

I'm anxious to hear what others have done. Tt

I don't always use VDI, but when I do, I prefer White's XLT. Dig wisely my friends.

    Your welcome.
No stress on the coil when stored this way.
