    Balancing DFX

When I boot my DFX and go through the raise and lower loop to balance, in the deep woods where there can be real heavy pine needle ground cover or, in an old pasture with thick heavy grass, the detector will not balance when I lower the loop same as if trying to balance in a house on the floor... what do you all do when you get a spot and your detector does not balance because of ground conditions?

Not to worry .... When the detector can't see enough difference between the air and the ground to balance, it defaults to a preset ground balance point and tracks from there.

Down here in my sweet soil, there are numerous spots where DFX won't auto-balance. I just let the machine go thru the process and hunt away !!

    Hope this is helpful.
If there's anything I hate worse than diggin' pulltabs, its missin' a gold ring.
