It was a cool rainy day and it was about nap time when I got a call from a frantic woman who said she had just lost a valuable ring. She was kind of histerical and couldn't give directions to where she was and had to hand the phone to someone else.
After getting directions I got my gear together (Whites MXT) and met the people in the middle of a field where they were training bird dogs for retrevial. It was wet and the grass was about a foot deep. After listening to where she said she was, over here, over there, buy the truck, up by the blind, across the road I was thinking ya right. this is where she noticed it missing. I began sweeping the tall grass everywhere she said she was, but nothing. good thing the ground wasn't trashy. Finally someone said "Hey you were over here to" so I decieded to give that a try. The rain was comming a little more and people were starting to leave the area. The last area I got a hit and digging down thru the grass and in the dirt I got a glimps of gold. man that had alot of diamonds. The lady was all smiles them and full of hugs I think I got 3 of them along with a little gas money for the drive.
It was a good day I was happy just seeing the smile on her face and she was just tickeled pink.
