    Bigfoot coil

I was at a seeded hunt this weekend and a new mwmber of our club came with his DFX and a bigfoot coil. That coil is amazing. Is there any chance that whites will start manufacturing the bigfoot again? Man I would love to have one of them for the beach, soccer fields and football fields. Thanks

    Re: Bigfoot coil

    Howdy!
Whites didn't manufacture the Big Foot coil.
If my understanding is correct, it was a private individual who made them
and they were being distributed by Jimmy Sierra's outfit.

That individual is no longer making them, and another person has taken up
their production. They are slowly becoming available again, but there is a
    backlog.

That's the story I heard, whether true or not remaining to be seen.
Somebody around here will have better info, I'm sure.

    Re: Bigfoot coil

Thanks M, I knew the Jimmy Sierra made the coils and that whites sold them. After Jimmy died the coils went off the market. I thought that there might be some patent or trademark issues involved. Do you know who is making the coils now? Thanks

The last time I looked, Jimmy still had them listed on his site

Jimmy Sierra is alive and kickin' as best I know. The guy who made the coils for Jimmy passed away. Jimmy was on the Spectra test team.

Jimmy Sierra's Status... Alive, Well, and Producing New Prototypes

I had lunch with him last month discussing new exciting projects. Jimmy then traveled to my shop; Trans Bay Metal Detectors in Foster City, CA (Shameless Plug). From there we took two prototype coils.... Bigfoot (3.5" x 18") and Humongus-Foot (10x30") and tested them on the TDI. Both were successful as well as Low Profile and Light... so light, even a caveman could operate it.

Jimmy Sierra is of Swiss-Italian Decent and isn't scheduled to check out until 2020 or later because he's healthy as can be and very much in tuned with his body as well as Whites and Jimmy Products.

Alan Karbowsky was the engineer and part time employee of Whites Electronics who passed on about two years ago due to an accident. Fortunately, Jimmy found is notes on Loop Geometry etc and Bigfoots are still being made but on a much slower scale due to factors beyond Jimmy's control.

Jimmy is currently out of the states on vacation. I am looking forward to attending his 20th Anniversary: Discovery Tours in England in 2010. The more folks, the funner it gets as a bus takes us to new fields in England from our 4 star hotel.

I plan to take a TDI, MXT and V3... how about you? I feel an earthquake so I'm going to cut this short, as my screen is jiggling!

I guess he's scoutin' the place to see if he can take a Treasure Huntin' group to Hawaii, similar to his guided hunts to England.

    Re: Bigfoot coil

    Howdy Folks!
After waiting awhile to hear something, I got an answer to a message I sent to Jimmy Sierra
today. It was to ask 2 questions:

    1. How do I go about getting my hands on a bigfoot coil?
    2. Are there going to be bigfoot coils nulled to operate with an Sv3?

Here is the answer I received today, from what appears to be a very much live and kickin'
    Jimmy Sierra!
    ------------------------
We have intermittent supply of Bigfoot for Mxt/Dfx
If you would like to be on our waiting list please let me know
I am sorry but this is the current situation

We do not have any Spectra Bigfoot in production

    thanks
    Jim
    ------------------------
So, hope this helps some, and I asked to be put on that waiting list for my MXT!

    Blessings,
    M-Taliesin
