    Home made sand scoop

    Was a little bored today watching the rain so out to the garage to build a sand scoop, what do you think, will it work?

    I just took some samples pictures from the net downloaded them and started building one, no plans sorry, made of 18 gauge steel, I have a torch and mig welder etc etc. had fun with it.

    Looks like the holes need to be bigger, or else........ to shake through wet sand.... you'll be having to rattle that a long time. Also, another thing I've done, is to put a wrist mount on my sand scoop. What ya need is a T-handle, and a wrist cuff thing. Kinda like if you've ever seen a parapalegic handle thing, where they hold on to the handle of their stick, yet have a part that extends up their fore-arm.

    Good looking scoop fitzie, Looks strong enough to put your foot on the back. Should work good in the dry sand. I built one last week for the water. Will post pics soon. Tony
